David, CEO
My name is David Aldama, I grew up in Orange County. After high school, I obtained a degree in Self Development and Social Behavior while working as a framer for a builder part-time. I started HVAC installations for a small company shortly after. In 2015 I became a certified Home Inspector to further my knowledge about home structure and components. In 2020 I moved my family from Huntington Beach to Running Springs, California and decided to start an HVAC company after 15+ years of being in the industry. I enjoy fishing, hiking, coffee, and spending time with my wife and 4 children. I look forward to seeing my children grow up on the mountain and plan to keep investing in our community for a long time. Update: We have obtained a construction classification license and we are offering construction services. Everything from new deck builds to full new construction builds and interior finish.

My name is Jack Wootten. I grew up on the mountain in Twin Peaks, California. Some of my favorite activities and hobbies are playing basketball, working on, and driving my car. I also enjoy hanging out with friends and family. Working with Higher Ground Heating and Air conditioning is very enjoyable, installing equipment knowing that my neighbors will enjoy it for a very long time. I am excited about my future with Higher Ground Heating and Air Conditioning because it aligns with my goals to live on the mountain and raise a family here one day.

I’m a husband and father, and dedicated HVAC professional with eight years of hands‑on experience. I launched my career in Washington State, and after years of hard work and saving. my wife and I returned to the state where we grew up to purchased our first home. During our search for the perfect community, we discovered Running Springs and instantly knew it was where we wanted to put down roots. Family is my greatest passion. My son is the brightest light in my life, so much so that I often quote Cormac McCarthy’s words: “If my son is not the Word of God, then God never spoke.”
My wife is my rock and foundation. She has shaped me into the person I am today and continues to be my unwavering source of strength as we pursue our dreams together.
Outside of work, I thrive on adventure. I’ve completed multiple half‑marathons, enjoy rock climbing, and relish any challenge the outdoors can offer. These pursuits fuel my drive, discipline, and problem‑solving mindset all of which I bring to every HVAC project.
I love tackling complex problems and designing unique solutions, from selecting the ideal equipment for each environment to ensuring every installation is both efficient and visually pleasing.
I joined Higher Ground HVAC because I truly believe David and I have the same vision and passion to not only be the best HVAC company on the mountain but to also serve our community and elevate our family and everyone we serve.
